Video ads in your Facebook News Feed will be available to everyone soon. Facebook has been testing its 15-second video ads for the last year and finally rolled them out in December on mobile.

Audio is turned off until a person taps on the ad, which triggers the ad to play in full screen with audio. However, video will play automatically as you scroll down your News Feed. If you do tap or click on a video ad, you’ll see additional ad content after the ad is done playing.

For those with limited data caps, video ads will only be downloaded when you’re connected to Wi-Fi. The ads are stored on the phone so they can be viewed without connecting to your cell network. To enable this feature, check out our guide.

Facebook for Android and iOS have had this feature since December. Videos from your friends uploaded to Facebook also auto-play.

Facebook is rolling auto-playing video ads out slowly “over the next few months” to gauge reaction. For now, there is no way to opt out of auto-playing video ads.
